Hello, we’re Danielle & James, welcome to our little travel feed.
We’ve been travelling the world non-stop for nearly 10 years while we build our own online business. On our journey we sail, dive, eat & drink much more than we should, and generally try to have a great time.
We’ve been trying to quit Instagram and the usual social apps, so rather than scatter our photos across the internet we keep them here, a quiet corner that’s just ours, for family and friends to follow along.
Most of these posts are Danielle’s snapshots from wherever we’ve wandered, usually a whole album from each country we visit, with a few words about what we got up to.

For nerds
We use Ente to store our photos. It’s essentially an open-source version of Google Photos. It means Google can’t get their hands on our most sensitive info.
This website is build in Astro, which reads the post data from markdown files. Each post links to a public Ente Album, and Astro pulls down the images and videos, does a small amount of processing to decrease the size, and then shows in on the homepage.
The code for the site was mostly built by Claude + Fable, with me (James) tweaking the design. It’s open-source here.
